This post is going to be short and sweet. I have a concert to get ready for you know!
Real World
- I'm such a dumbass! *gs head on desk* I have a coworker who had to go in for emergency surgery (she has cancer) and I've had to pull her shift all week, which means that I've missed school. I sat down 20 minutes ago and started going over my Algebra syllabus and noticed a big yellow mark for the 20th...test day. Zoinks! I've missed my Algebra test. My teacher does NOT allow makeup tests, regardless of whether it's an emergency or not. I'm so freaking out right now. I've been making all A's and B's and now I have this big fat 0. I'm so distraught and don't know what to do. I just emailed my teacher practically begging for a make-up test, but I know it's not going to happen. I'm about to cry. No really, I'm about to cry. I'm very upset about this. I just can't win for fucking losing. :(
UPDATE: Just spoke to my teacher and as expected, I cannot make up my test. But there is a silver lining in this dark cloud...she said that my final exam grade would count towards the missed test. So all is not lost people! *wipes tears away and moves on*
- I know you're all sick to death of hearing about this concert, but I promise, the torture is almost over. *winks* Today is the day folks. Today is the day I see Keith Ur in concert. I'm so excited...woot! The concert starts at 8PM and I probably won't get back home until around midnight or a little after. If ANY of you folks are going, PLEASE let me know so we can meet up! Just drop me an email or something before 5PM, okay?
- I need to run to the store in a bit and grab a big posterboard and create a "Happy Birthday Keith/My Radio Sticks to KIX 96" poster. Winner of best poster gets the entire Keith Ur collection and an autographed guitar from George Strait! *fangirl scream* Keith's birthday is Tuesday, but we're celebrating early baby. I wonder what the odds are of me taking him to a pub and getting him drunk and taking advantage of him? Not good I imagine. Damnit.

Ask Me:
I asked you a few days ago to send in your questions to me and I've gotten quite a few already. You can keep sending them in, but here's what I have so far:
vandamonium: Do you like dogs?
I love dogs! I have a boxer named Lily. She's an ugly dog, but a good one. She's the sweetest thing in the world.
Jen: I have two. Before you met Jason and fell in love and while you got thrown off the military base(s) which of your ex-boyfriends were the most interesting and why?
Plus if you had to break up with someone did you usually tell them the truth or make up a whopper of a life time?
Ha! The military has NO sense of humor. How was I to know that it was against the rules to be in barracks that early in the morning? I'm sure my name is still on a list somewhere. So yeah, to your questions:
(1) The most interesting ex-boyfriend I had was the British boy. He was a really cool guy. We hung out and had a great time together. He was really smart and athletic and just an all-around cool guy. I know I've mentioned this once before, but I'm not really sure why we stopped dating. I guess we were just better off as friends, ya know? I lost touch with him over the years but I'd love to know where he is now. Dang...the one British boy I had and I let him slip through my fingers. *looks around for Jason* It worked out for the best I think. ;)
(2) Well, if the guy was a jerkoff, I would be totally and brutally honest wih him about why I was breaking up with him. "Hey asshole...you fucking suck. We're through." that sort of thing. Now if the guy was nice and it just wasn't working out, I would be let him down gently. It's better to leave on a good note than a bad one and try not to hurt anyone's feelings if you can.
Chris: Do you still like Alias?
And if not ( *throws a harsh glare*), what show are you liking now?
Hey Chris! :) Well, I'm afraid that Alias has jumped the shark and to be honest, I haven't watched the show since the first few eps of the last season. I know, I know...I'm a bad fan. Maybe this year they'll make up for what they did to me last season. Still love me? *winks* Well, I don't watch a lot of tv, but the one show that I REALLY like right now is Family Bonds, which is about a family of bail bondsmen. It's funny dude. I'm convinced now that New Jersey is alternate universe or something. Scary. The nails on those ladies are scary!
Paul: Did you ever post your boobies?
I'm afraid that I was so busy that week that I wasn't able to Paul. Maybe next year. For $20 I'll send you a pic right now. *winks*
YaYaEmpress: What's the sexiest part you find on a man? For me, it's hands...
For me, it's the lips. There's something very sexy about a man's lips and his smile. That's usually the first thing I look at when I see an attactive man. And I know this sounds very odd, but I LOVE a man's calf muscles. I don't like them big and bulky, but I love it when a man has just enough muscle in them and they move when he walks or stretches. Good gawd! Jason has PERFECT calf muscles and sometimes I just run my hands down them...get's me all excited. Alrighty...too much information.
Thanks so much for the questions guys. I enjoyed reading over your emails. What fun! If you have something you'd like to ask, please use the form on this page.

Recipes:
I found an October 2001 Family Circle lying around work yesterday and I picked it up and found the most delicious holiday recipes! These would be perfect for any Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas get-togethers. Let me know if you try any of these.
- Sausage Cheese Balls:
2 lbs. (32 oz.) Jimmy Dean Sausage, uncooked
1.5 cups all-purpose baking/biscuit mix
16 oz. Sharp Cheddar cheese (or 4 cups shredded)
1.5 cup finely chopped onion
1.5 cup finely chopped celery
1.5 teaspoon garlic powder
Preheat oven to 375. Shred cheese and mix all ingredients. Form into 1" balls. Bake 15 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet until golden brown. Makes about 6 dozen. Sausage balls can be frozen uncooked. For a firmer texture, add an extra 3 cups of baking/biscuit mix and an extra 2 cups of shredded cheese to the ingredients listed above.
- Libby's Pumpkin Cranberry Bread:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
2 teaspoons baking soda
1.5 teaspoons salt
3 cups granulated sugar
1 can (15 oz.) Libby's 100% Pure Pumpkin
4 large eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
1.5 cup orange juice or water
1 cup sweetened dried, fresh or frozen cranberries
Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour two 9x5-inch loaf pans. Combine flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda and salt in large bowl. Combine sugar, pumpkin, eggs, vegetable oil and orange juice in large mixer bowl; beat until just blended. Add pumpkin mixture to flour mixture; stir just until moistened. Fold in cranberries. Spoon batter into prepared loaf pans. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in cener comes out clean. Cool in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. For 5x3-inch mini-loaf pans: prepare as above. Bake for 50-55 minutes. Makes 2 loaves or 5 mini-loaves.
- Spinach & Chicken Pie:
2 tablespoons butter
1 large onion, chopped
2 1/4 pounds ground chicken
3 packages (10 oz. each) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1.5 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon red-pepper flakes
1.5 cups (12 oz) crumbled feta cheese
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
8 sheets (18x13 inches) phyllo dough, thawed halved crosswise (13x9 inches)
Heat oven at 375. Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Melt butter in large skillet over high heat. Add onion; reduce heat to medium; cook 5 minutes. Add chicken; cook 8 minutes, until no longer pink. Add spinach, salt, pepper, nutmeg and pepper flakes; cook 5 minutes. Transfer to large bowl. Stir in cheese, eggs, and oregano. Place half sheet phllo in bottom of pan. Coat with cooking spray. Repeat with 7 more half sheets , coating each sheet. Spread spinach mixture over top. Repeat with remaining 8 half sheets. Cut top layer in 8 equal pieces. Harry Potter News:
- It's been confirmed that Matt's favorite d, Franz Ferdinand, that they're going to contribute to the GOF movie and they may even make an appearance in the movie as the Weird Sisters. Awesome!
(Hat tip: Mugglenet)
- Speaking of Mugglenet, they have a new pic up on the site that I think you'll find interesting. The pic shows the sets for the dragon's lair, the grandstand, and the tents for the Quidditch World Cup.

Memes and Quizzes:
-
I believe you belong in Pride and Prejudice; a
world of satire and true love. A world where
everything is crystal clear to the reader, and
yet where new things seem to be happening all
the time. You belong in a world where your
free-thought puts you above the silly masses,
and where bright eyes and intelligence are
enough to attract the arrogant
millionaire/prejudiced young woman of your
choice.

Politics:
- Cartoon Network has a series of political ads they're running that I just love! No...this isn't about Bush vs. Kerry...this is even better. I personally support Ed & Grim. Not so much because I like Ed, he's a moron, but Grim rocks dude. Matt's voting for Ed & Grim as well, but only because Numbuh One hates puppies. The puppy vote is VERY important to six year olds. ;) Head over and watch all of the videos and enjoy the poke that Cartoon Network is making towards the political ads of Bush and Kerry. My favorite ad so far is the New! Anti-Endorsements under the Plank category, which is a CLEAR poke at the Swift Boat ads against Kerry. I should know, my soul should've been reaped...yet here it sits. Hilarious! And this ad: New! Choose Wisely, under the Numbuh One category is also funny. Oh and this one: Anti-Plank. *falls over laughing* Hell, they're all funny...just start clicking!
- Want a chuckle at the expense of Senator Kerry? I knew you did. Click here.
- I command every single one of you to watch this Club for Growth ad. I think I just pissed myself. Puts the whole flip-flopping issue into a whole new perspective, doesn't it? Can you imagine what the world would be like if we all followed Waffles lead? Lord. To view the ad, scroll down the page and click on the one that shows Kerry against a blue background. Hell, watch all of the ads...they're all great!
- It bears repeating...watch it and spread the link. EVERYONE needs to see this before they vote.
- I'm going to add Lily's picture to this site. How cute! Dogs for Bush
- E!Online reports:
SETTLEMENT FACTOR: Bill O'Reilly's accuser, Andrea Mackris, may be ready to settle with the talk show host, according to the New York Daily News. According to the Drudge Report, Mackris may need the money; the Website claimed to have documents showing that Mackris in $100,000 in debt.
Oh really? You don't say. Hrm...could it be that she's a lying bitch who was only out for the mighty dollar? Yeah...I think so too. Andrea...you suck and you're a disgrace to women everywhere. May God strike you down with a flesh-eating STD you money-hungry assnugget.
- This is long, but WORTH the read!
This was a full page ad in today's Washington Post from the millionaire former CEO of Supra Alloys Inc.In today’s America, ask a growing number of high school and college students; their teachers and professors; the self-anointed media elite and/or hard working men and women of all ethnicities, the question, “What is a Republican?”, and you’ll be told “… a rich, greedy, egotistical individual, motivated only by money and the desire to accumulate more and more of it, at the expense of the environment … the working poor ….and all whom they exploit…”
I am a Republican … I am none of those things… and I don’t know any Republicans who are.
WHAT I AM … first and foremost, is a loving husd of some 52 plus years, the father of four and an American who’s proud of his country… and his country’s heritage.
WHAT I AM … is the grandson of immigrants who risked everything, including their lives and those of their children, to escape tyranny in search of freedom.
WHAT I AM … is a man who grew up during the Depression and witnessed, first hand, the effects of the Stock Market crash and the soup lines that followed. I watched as both my parents and grand parents, who had very little themselves, share what food they had with a half dozen other families, who had even less.
WHAT I AM … is someone who worked his way through college by holding down three and four jobs at a time and then used that education to build a better life.
WHAT I AM … is a husd who, at age 24, started his own business for the “privilege” of working 60, 70 and 80 hours a week, risking everything I had, including my health, in search of a better life for myself and my loved ones.
WHAT I AM … is a businessman whose blood, sweat and tears…. and plenty of them…, made it possible for me to provide a secure living, not only for my family and myself, but also for literally hundreds of my employees throughout the years. Employees, who in turn, were able to buy their own homes, raise their own families and give back to their communities and their country.
WHAT I AM … is a man who believes in God; a God who has blessed this country… and all for which it stands.
WHAT I AM … is someone who knows, if you doubt miracles exist in today’s world, you need only to look into the face of those who received them … and the eyes of those who give them.
WHAT I AM … is an American who’s proud that his President embraces a belief in God; proud of a President who understands, as “politically incorrect” as it may be, there is evil in this world and for the security and safety of all freedom loving people everywhere, it must be confronted… and it must be defeated.
WHAT I AM … is an American who takes comfort in the knowledge that our President refuses to allow decisions concerning the very safety and security of this nation, to be governed by the political whims of foreign governments.
WHAT I AM … is tired of hearing from leading Democrats who see only negativity in America; racism in her people; class warfare in her society and “political incorrectness” in her character.
WHAT I AM … is a former democrat who now understands that it is the soldier and not the reporter that guarantees us our freedoms of press, speech and dissent.
WHAT I AM … is a man who believes in the sanctity of life. A man who is repulsed by the pandering of the political left for votes, at the expense of the unborn.
WHAT I AM … is a husd and father who believes in the sanctity of marriage and the preservation of the family unit.
WHAT I AM … is a movie go-er who is repulsed by those insecure, socially inept, elementary thinking, ego-inflated “entertainers” who have appointed themselves “experts” in the fields of national security and geo-politics and then use their forum to attack this nation, its leaders and its actions…. much to the delight and encouragement of our enemies.
WHAT I AM … is an American who understands the difference between “censorship” and “choice”. Evidently, these individuals do not, because when these same “celebrities” receive public ridicule for their offensive actions, the first thing they yell is “Censorship!”. What they seem incapable of understanding is… the right of free speech and dissent is shared equally by those offended… as well as those who offend. I support and will continue to support those films and performers whom I choose to … and refuse to support those I don’t. It is my right as an American … a right I will continue to enthusiastically exercise.
WHAT I AM … is a voter, tired of politicians, who, every time their voting records are subjected to public scrutiny, try to divert attention from their political and legislative failures by accusing their opponents of “attack ads” and “negative campaigning”…. and the news media who allow them to get away with it.
WHAT I AM … is a Catholic who loves his God and his Faith… and who’s been taught to respect all religions whose teachings are based in love, peace and charity. As such, I am embarrassed and ashamed of those individuals, in both private and public life, whose decisions and actions are devoid of any sense of character or morals; individuals who are only driven by what’s best for them … rather than what’s right … often times at the expense of many …. including our national security.
WHAT I AM … is a realist who understands that the terrorist attack that murdered hundreds of innocent Russian children could have occurred here, in our heartland. That’s why I sincerely believe America needs now, more than ever, a President who sees with a clear and focused vision and who speaks with a voice when heard by both friend and foe alike, is understood, respected and believed.
WHAT I AM … is eternally grateful to Ronald Reagan for having the bravery to speak out against Communism and the courage of his convictions in leading the fight to defeat it; and George W. Bush for the vision, courage, conviction and leadership he has shown in America’s war on terrorism amidst both the constant and vicious, personal and political attacks both he and his family are made to endure.
WHAT I AM … is a human being, full of numerous faults and failures, but a man nonetheless, who, though not always successful, has continually strived to do “what’s right” instead of “what’s easy”. A man who is challenging the religious leaders of all faiths, to not only preach to their congregations the fundamentals of “what’s right” and “what’s wrong”, but to also then hold them accountable for their actions in both the public and private sectors.
WHAT I AM … is disgusted with the Courts who, on one hand, call the murder of a pregnant woman a “double homicide” but then refer to the abortion of her baby as, “pro-choice”.
WHAT I AM … is someone deeply troubled by a political party which embraces a candidate whose primary “leadership” qualities center around his protesting of the Vietnam war and his labeling the honorable men and women who fought in it, (50,000 of whom gave their lives in that action), as rapists, and war criminals. That same political party then stepped forward this year to block the appearance of a true Vietnam war hero, retired Admiral and former United States Senator, Jeremiah Denton, (a man who spent seven years and seven torturous months in a North Vietnam prison), from speaking before an open session of the California legislature as part of that state’s 4th of July celebration. The reason Democrats gave for refusing to allow this American hero to speak before their state legislature was because of the “conservative” nature of his views. As an American, that troubles me deeply ….as well it should you.
WHAT I AM … is a man who feels the need to spend, $104, 655.60,(tax paid) of his own money, to purchase this advertisement, in order to set the story straight. Some may say this money would have been better spent feeding the world’s poor. At the risk of sounding self-serving, as an American and as a Republican, for the last six decades of my life, I have done exactly that… and more. Following the examples of my parents and grand parents, I have used my earnings to feed the poor, shelter the homeless, provide housing for the elderly and medical care for the sick….. and continue to do so… and I’m not alone in that work.
WHAT I AM … is someone who is paying for this announcement, at my sole expense, in hopes of opening the eyes of those led blindly by ill-informed elements of our great nation, who, through either ignorance, or malicious intent, repeatedly attack and belittle those of us who belong to a political party that holds true to the belief, “… the rights of the governed, exceed the power of the government”. For those interested, I am speaking only as a tax-paying individual who is in no way associated with The Republican National Committee, nor with any of its directors, or delegates.
WHAT I AM … is a man who understands, “the American way of life” is a message of self-empowerment for all.
WHAT I AM … is an American who is grateful that our nation gives each of us the opportunity of self-determination and the right to benefit from the fruits of self achievement.
WHAT I AM … is an American who wants to preserve that way of life for all who seek it.
WHAT I AM … is blessed to be an American…. and proud to be Republican.

Et Finalement:
It's 1:41 PM and I'm running late, late, late! I feel like the little bunny from Alice in Wonderland. I still need to make a poster, take a shower, do my hair and makeup, run Matt to grandma's, and get to the Savannah Civic Center early enough to grab a parking space. I DO NOT feel like walking two blocks in those heels. I'm sure they'll charge $5 for parking...the dirty bastards.
