I just made these a few minutes ago:

I didn't have enough Rice Krispies, so I had to use the Fruity Pebbles I had on hand. You know what? This shit is good! Want the recipe?
Gennie's Minion Treats:
1/2 stick (or 1/4 cup) of butter
1 bag of 16oz marshmallows
3 cups of Rice Krispies
3 cups of Fruity Pebbles
Semi-sweet chocolate chips (or butterscotch)
In a large, non-stick pot or pan, melt the butter completely. Add the marshmallows a handful at a time, stirring constantly with a plastic, non-stick spoon. DO NOT add the entire bag at one time. Once your marshmallows are completely melted down, remove from the heat. Add the cereal, a cup at a time, mixing well after each. You should make sure to mix quickly, because the marshmallow will start to harden at this point. Once the marshmallow and cereal is completely mixed together, pour quickly into a pan. The pan should have been either sprayed with cooking spray or covered lightly with butter before the treats were added to it. Cover a large spatula with either cooking spray or butter. Use the spatula to press the treats down firmly into the pan. Add your chocolate chips and cover lightly with either foil or wax paper. Let set for 15-20 minutes to cool, then cut with knife. Enjoy minions!

Well, as you can see, I've returned from my weekend at my mother's house. How unfortunate for some of you that Charley didn't hit here and send me flying out into the Atlantic. It took a nice little eastern turn and Savannah was spared the devastation. I've been reading about the deaths in Florida and I want to extend my deepest sympathies towards the families who lost someone. I'm also saying a little prayer for those of you who lost your homes or belongings. Let's all pray that this hurricane season is uneventful from here on out.
So yeah, back to my trip to the country. I spent two wonderful days with my family, catching up and such. I spent Friday night with my grandmother, whose house is next to my mother's. We sat up and talked late into the night about West Virginia and how much we missed it and wanted to go back to visit. All of that talk started my grandma thinking about my grandfather, who died almost 20 years ago. Before long, I was holding my grandma, as tears streamed down her face. It literally broke my heart. I don't even want to think about going through life without Jason. After I got grandma in to bed, I took a shower and crawled into the spare bedroom and watched tv and read a book. I fell asleep close to 2:30AM and grandma was nice enough to let me sleep late, until around 9:30AM or so. I got up and fixed us some eggs and toast, then we walked next door to my mom's house. While the kids played outside, us women did our makeup and listened to music. Then my mom pulled out two huge boxes of photos. She gave me some pictures of my father, which I hadn't seen in years. She also gave me some pictures that my younger brother, Charles, sent of my nephew, Ashton. She showed me some of when I was a baby and when she was pregnant with me. And since she doesn't have a scanner, or a computer for that much, I pulled out my digital cam and did my best to take some pics. As soon as I can, I'll take them to Kinkos and get some copies.
I hope you all don't mind, but I'd like to share them with you. :) I apologize for the quality, or lack thereof.
